Doggystyle

Last weekend my basketball team and I took a trip to Corpus for a basketball tournament. It was a great team building experience and I had a lot of fun. But why am I telling you this? During the car ride my teammate, Ja'Lon Spence, had DJ duty since he was riding shotgun and played all the different kinds of rap that he enjoyed, most of which were crap. However, Ja'Lon, I learned, is an album guy just like yourself. He wasn't a fan of making playlists off of singles he liked, he would start an album from the beginning and play it all the way through. While most of the albums he played were, in my opinion, crap, Snoop Dogg's album Doggystyle really caught my attention. In fact I was even claim that it is one of the best albums that I have ever listened to. For one, there isn't a bad song on there, every song on there was enjoyable to listen to. Second, old Snoop Dogg was a great lyricist, his lyrics are funny yet also tell a story. Third, the music is simple; there is one baseline with a few ad-libs and that's it, the rest is just him spitting rhymes.
